Hull edge Huddersfield to return to winning ways

Hull FC returned to winning ways, as they edged Huddersfield Giants at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

The Black and Whites took the lead early on, as Ratu Naulago finished a good move in the corner. Marc Sneyd converted for a six-point advantage.

Huddersfield got back into it after half-an-hour as Jermaine McGillvary went over in the corner. Aidan Sezer missed the conversion, meaning they still trailed by two points.

The last word of the half went to Hull, as Mahe Fonua managed to get over. Sneyd missed the conversion, meaning they were still a converted a try ahead at the break.

The Giants struck back six minutes into the second half, as Matty English bundled his way over. Sezer added the conversion to level the match.

Hull got back in front, as Bureta Faraimo went over for his first try of the season. Sneyd converted to give Hull their six point lead back.

Just after the hour, Huddersfield struck back as Sezer got over for the try. He added the conversion to level once again.

With Golden Point looming, Hull then got a penalty, which Marc Sneyd scored to win the game.

Hull return to action on Sunday, with their game in hand against Castleford Tigers at the KCOM Stadium. They then travel to face Catalans Dragons at the Stade Gilbert Brutus on Thursday.

As for Huddersfield, they also return to action on Thursday, against Wakefield Trinity at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
