Crusaders add Saints academy graduate

North Wales Crusaders have completed the signing of centre Cameron Brown from NCL side Pilkington Recs for the 2021 season.

Brown signed for Pilks after being released by Saints after being part of their unbeaten academy season in 2016.

Reacting to the news, he said: “I know a lot of the lads at the club already and I can’t wait to get started.

“I’ve not played for a while so I’m eager to get back out there on the pitch. I know we’ve got a young squad at the club so hopefully we can all progress our careers with Crusaders.

“For me, I need to work hard in pre-season, try to get a place in the team and, if I do, make sure I keep it.

“I’m really pleased to have signed for Crusaders and can’t wait to get started whenever we’re able to begin pre-season.”

Crusaders Head Coach Anthony Murray added: “Cam has come through a good system at St Helens and now wants to test himself in League 1.

“We love giving players an opportunity at Crusaders and helping them develop so we’re delighted to have Cam on board.”
