Wigan return to action against Salford

Wigan Warriors will make their return to action on Friday when they face Salford Red Devils at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

The Warriors’ match last week against Catalans Dragons was called off after they ended up with a further three positive cases, bringing the total number up to six.

Becuase of this, it was officially classed as an outbreak, so their match was cancelled as a result.

As for Salford, they will be hoping to put the disapointment of losing the Challenge Cup Final against Leeds Rhinos behind them.

The match kicks off at 5.30pm, and the referee will be Chris Kendall.

Team News

Wigan make three changes to the side that should have faced Catalans, with Oliver Gildart, Joe Burgess and George Burgess all returning to the squad.

They replace Sean OLoughlin, Amir Bourouh and Sam Halsall.

Salford have also made three changes from the side that walked out at Wembley.

Kris Welham, Kevin Brown and Ryan Lannon come out of the squad, and are replaced Ed Chamberlain, as well as the previously cup-tied Andy Ackers and Olly Ashall-Bott.
