Rochdale Hornets’ longest serving player Ben Moores will stay at the club for the 2021 season.
The experienced hooker has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him go into his sixth season at Spotland.
He established himself as the clubs first choice hooker and became a fan favourite.
Reacting to the news, he said: “I’m really happy to have signed a new contract at Hornets, I’ve been here a long time and I’m really fond of the club – I’ve made great memories and the supporters have been good to myself and my family.
“Matt Calland and Andy Mazey are building a really competitive squad that will allow us to challenge at the top of the table and I’m excited to be a part of it.
“After the way 2020 went I can’t wait to rip into pre-season and get going again.”
Head Coach, Matt Calland added: “Ben has been here for a while now and has a lot of valuable experience. He struggled with injury in recent times but I’m looking forward to him getting back to the form I know he’s capable of.
“He’s a popular member of the club, with supporters, players and staff, and he will help strengthen our go-forward in 2021.”
