Dewsury Rams have confirmed the signing of winger Lewis Carr from Castleford Tigers for the 2021 season.

Carr came through the academy at Castleford, and made his debut in a friendly against Widnes Vikings earlier this year, scoring two tries.

He also holds the record for the most tries scored in a single season, 39 in just 21 games.

As Carr joins the Rams, he will wear the number 27 shirt.

On the signing, head coach Lee Greenwood said: “Lewis has got the potential to be a really good player at Championship level. He is a fantastic finisher and has a natural try scoring ability.

“There are areas in his game that he needs to work hard at to be a success but we are willing to give him the opportunity to do that.

“He adds strong competition to our existing wingers and I know Lewis wants to force his way into the team. I’m looking forward to working with him.”
