Catalans Dragons pair Micky McIlorum and Joel Tomkins are set for an extended spell on the sidelines after being charged by the Match Review Panel.

Both were given a Grade F charge, the worst there is, which carries a minimum eight match ban, or it could be a suspended period, i.e. months rather than matches.

They were referred for other contrary behaviour.

Tomkins was referred after an allegation of indecent contact was made by Leeds Rhinos fullback Richie Myler.

Meanwhile McIlorum will serve at least one match for a high tackle on Brad Dwyer.

The other charge relates to him trying to pull up Dwyer when he could have been seriously hurt from the tackle.
