Batley Bulldogs have completed the signing of halfback Tom Gilmore for the 2021 season.
Gilmore was due to join Ottawa Aces ahead of their inaugral season, but it has had to be pushed back as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
He will also bring Super League experience to the Bulldogs. He started at Widnes Vikings and played for them at the top level before relegation in 2018. Gilmore then left a year later.
The halfback also appeared for Salford Red Devils at the top level at the back end of the 2020 season.
He has spent loan spells at London Broncos and North Wales Crusaders.
More recently, Gilmore signed for Halifax ahead of the 2020 season, but only made two appearances before the cancellation of the season.
Head Coach Craig Lingard said: “Tom will be a great fit for us. He brings a wealth of experience at the highest level, and a strong knowledge of Championship Rugby League as well.
“We’re looking forward to working with him, he’ll be a massive asset to the squad.”
