Saints hoping to make back-to-back Grand Finals with win against Catalans

St Helens host Catalans Dragons in the last semi-final on Friday, hoping to make it to back-to-back Grand Finals for the first time since 2009.

It is a repeat of the 2014 semi-finals, with Saints winning on that day despite Catalans taking an early lead.

Saints will be hoping to bounce back after losing their final two regular season matches against Salford and Wigan, while Catalans hope to builsd on last week’s performance against Leeds.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm and the referee will be Liam Moore.

Saints have made three changes to the side that lost against Wigan last time out.

Alex Walmsley returns from suspension, while Aaron Smith and Joe Batchelor are also recalled.

They replace Joseph Paulo, Josh Eaves and Jake Wingfield.

Meanwhile, Catalans have been forced into two changes, after losing Micky McIlorum and Joel Tomkins with suspension.

They are replaced by Alrix da Costa and Benjamin Jullien.
