Newcastle Thunder have confirmed Alex Clegg and Kieran Hudson have signed new deals at the club.
Clegg boasts an impressive try-scoring record for the Thunder. The winger scroed 25 in 28 matches in 2019, and three in five in 2020.
Reacting to the news, he said: “I’m looking forward to another season with Thunder and getting back to some sort of normal.
“It’s been a weird summer not playing each week but I’m excited to get back out there at Kingston Park and hoping that it can be a big one for the club.
“I’ll be glad that the strava sessions are over and done with and can get back training with a ball in hand.”
Hudson signed senior terms with the Thunder in 2019, but an injury has limited his appearances.
He will hope to make more of a mark on the first team when the competition is able to get underway again.
He added: “I’m excited to get back to Kingston park and start playing again. It’s been a tough year with not being able to do what I love.
“It was looking like it was going to be our season last year but unfortunately we had to stop our winning streak.
“I’m looking to get a lot more game time this season after some time off through injury but hopefully this year is Thunder’s year and I can be a part of that.”
