The RFL have announced a new three-year agreement with the BBC to extend their coverage of the Challenge Cup until 2024.
The new deal for the Menโs competition will see the BBC continuing to cover two matches from the Quarter Finals and the round of 16, as well as both Semi Finals and the Final.
It will commence from 2022, when Rugby League celebrates 70 years since the first Challenge Cup Final at Wembley to be televised nationally by the BBC – Workington Townโs victory over Featherstone Rovers in 1952.
In addition, the Womenโs Challenge Cup Final will also air live on the BBC for the next four seasons along with the Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final which will be shown live on the BBCโs digital platforms.
