Prop forward Jack Wells has joined his hometown club Salford Red Devils, ahead of the 2021 season after leaving Wigan Warriors.
The 23-year-old back-rower joins Kallum Watkins, as the second former Salford Red Devilsย season ticketย holder in the squad for theย 2021 campaign.
Wells made his Super League debut for Wigan Warriors at the age of 18, after representing Salford-based amateur club Folly Lane at junior level.
He said: โWhen I watched Salford players walkout before a match as a young fan, Iโd look at them and was in awe. The thought of doing that myself is surreal.
โIโm looking forward to starting a new chapter in my career and to do that at my hometown club really means a lot.
โI was a season ticket holder for ten years and it was players like Andy Coley and Stuart Littler who inspired me to start my career, so hopefully I can be in the position that they were.โ
Head coach Richard Marshall said: โJackโs a player who is well suited to the modern game.
โI hope he can inspire many future local players to represent our club and Iโm sure that will give him a bit of extra motivation, as we go into preseason.โ
