Wakefieldย Trinity have confirmed the appointment of Andy Last as Assistant Coach at the Club for the 2021 season.
Last joins the Club from Hull FC after spending 23 years at the KCOM Stadium as a player, coach and Head Coach.
Speaking to Trinity TV, Last said: โI obviously had 23 years at Hull FC and that chapter ended in a good fashion, with no bridges burnt, so to speak.
โI spoke to Chris on the phone and he stressed that he wanted to get me on board which is brilliant for me. Chris is someone I respect and I love the project and the way heโs looking to do things next year.
โItโs the right time for me to spread my wings and gain some different experiences, and I donโt think thereโs anywhere better for me to do that than at Wakefield Trinity. Iโm really excited about getting started.โ
Head Coach, Chris Chester, added: โIโm delighted that Andy Last will be joining the club.
โAndy is a great coach who will be a brilliant addition to the club, and a great character too. I have known Andy a lot of years, spent time with him at Hull FC and weโve always kept in touch since.
โAndy is a very loyal person and the type of person that fits in perfectly with what we want at Wakefield Trinity. Heโs looking forward to a fresh challenge, and after 23 years at Hull FC, he canโt wait to get started in a new environment here at Wakefield.”
