Castleford Tigers captain Claire Garner has announced her retirement from rugby league at the age of 30.
Garner joined the Tigers in 2019 from Keighley Cougars, and helped the Tigers to the League Leaders Shield. She also helped the Tigers to both major finals that year, although she didn’t play in the Super League Grand Final because of injury.
In a decorated career, she also played for Bradford Bulls. She was part of the Bulls side that went the 2017 season unbeaten and won the treble.
