Castleford Tigers have confirmed winger Sosaia Feki has suffered a torn achillies tendon in pre-season training.
Feki arrived at the club from Cronulla Sharks ahead of the 2020 season, but has suffered with various injury problems, limiting him to just one appearance last season.
In that appearance, he only lasted 24 minutes, as injury struck again. The Tigers lost that match 29-16 against Hull FC in the Challenge Cup.
A short statement from the club says: “Castleford Tigers regrettably announce that Sosaia Feki has suffered an injury during the 2021 pre-season.
“Feki had been training with the Tigers getting ready for the 2021 Betfred Super League campaign when he ruptured his Achilles tendon.
“We will provide a further update in due course.”
