Catalans Dragons will return to the Gilbert Brutus Stadium to start their full training on Monday, without Dean Whare and Israel Folau.

The Dragons had found themselves unable to train together in France because of coronavirus restrictions.

Dragons Head Coach Steve McNamara will have his full squad next week, with the exception of Whare and Folau. Travel from outside Europe into France is currently strictly prohibited, unless there are “pressing grounds”.

McNamara said: “It will be great to get the squad back together from Monday.

“The players have been extremely disciplined in their individual training whilst being understanding of the clubs situation.

We will maximise the limited time we have combining our opposed training sessions along with two trial games to ensure we are ready for Round 1.”
