Toulouse winger Paul Marcon is set to miss most of the season with a knee injury.
The French international limped off during the first half of their friendly defeat against Catalans Dragons last week, which the Championship side lost 40-28.
Toulouse have confirmed he has ruptured his ACL, and will have surgery at the Purpan University Hospital in Toulouse on Monday.
A short statement from the club says: “This injury is a (big) blow for the player as for the team, which will have to approach a big part of the season (if not all) without one of its most decisive elements.
“The whole club wishes him a good recovery and will be by his side throughout his convalescence, so as to accompany him so that he finds the grounds and his level as quickly as possible.”
