London Broncos booked themselves a second round tie against York City Knights, following a 24-10 win over Keighley Cougars at Rosslyn Park.

It took the Broncos just two minutes to break the deadlock. Gideon Boafo managed to finish off a good move in the corner. Chris Hankinson converted for a six-point advantage.

Just past the quarter of an hour mark, the Broncos doubled their lead as Jacob Jones ran through to score. Hankinson was on target with the conversion.

With five minutes to go in the half came a flash point. Robert Matamosi was sent to the sin bin for Dangerous Contact. It was 12 apiece after Abbas Miski was sent in for the Broncos after running in.

The Broncos would end the half with 11 men after Paulos Latu caught Aaron Levy dangerously.

As London got back to full strength in the second half, they ended up scoring the first try of the second half, as Sam Davis managed to get over from dummy half. Hankinson added the conversion for an 18-point advantage.

London would put the icing on the cake with a fourth try as Romain Navarette powered through to score. Hankinson converted to put their lead up to 24 points.

Just three minutes later, Keighley had an answer as Mo Agoro went over in the corner. Jack Miller converted to bring them back to within 18 points.

The final word would go to the Cougars, this time it was Brenden Santi who powered over after a mistake at the back from the Broncos. Miller was off target with the conversion attempt.

London will now host York next week, while Keighley now have time to prepare for the start of the League One season in May.
