Toulouse have given former London Broncos centre Guy Armitage a contract for the rest of the 2021 season following a successful trial period.
Armitage was due to link up with the Ottawa Aces for the 2021 season, ahead of their inaugural season in League One, but their decision to defer their entry for a year left Armitage without a club for the new season.
The centre started out in rugby union, having played for Wasps, London Irish, London Welsh and Toulon before making the move to league with the Broncos.
A short statement from Toulouse says (translated from French): “Arrived in Toulouse on March 9 to take part in his first training in the days that followed, Guy successfully concluded his trial period with the TO.
“Quickly, he was able to show off his qualities and integrated very well into the Olympian collective. Sylvain Houles and his staff therefore logically wish to integrate him definitively into the group for the 2021 season.”
