St Helens Head Coach Kristian Woolf has said his side are working hard on both their attack and defence going forward.
Saints have started the season well, with two wins from two, and only one try conceded in those games.
They start their Challenge Cup campaign on Saturday against defending champions Leeds Rhinos at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
When asked if they had done any special work on their defence, given their solid start, Woolf said: “No more than usual. We are always working on our defence, and our attack as well.
“I was really happy with how we defended on the weekend. It wasn’t always perfect, we worked really hard, and scrambled really hard when we had to, and we defended really well in periods.
“I wasn’t unhappy with our attack either. It was one of those games where it was a little bogged down at the ruck at different times, and it was made difficult to attack at different times.
“The boys showed a really good patience, and over the course of the 80 minutes, we broke Hull KR down and what we have to remember is, Hull KR worked really hard defensively and done it really well.
“I was happy with both sides, and we are really working on both sides of our game.”
