Wigan Warriors prop Brad Singleton has given his support to the new North American Rugby League due to start later this year.
Singleton, who spent the early part of 2020 with Toronto Wolfpack, believes growing the game is crucial to it’s survival- and the North American market could prove key to that.
He said: “I’ve always been for expansion. I think our great sport needs to be out there to the wider public, and if it can go global, that would be great.
“If they can unlock that market, then we will all be sat there happy people.
“But until they can materialise anything, then we don’t know, because of the unknown of what happened with Toronto when I was there.
“If that is the structure and skeleton they want to go for, and from all accounts it looks legit and there is a bit more of a safety net than last time.
“I’m all for it.”
