Swinton Lions have confirmed forward Lewis Hatton will be out for the rest of the season, after undergoing bicep surgery.
Hatton suffered a torn bicep in their Challenge Cup Round Two clash against Oldham last month at Heywood Road and has now had a successful operation.
A short statement from the club said: “Lewis has undergone a successful operation today to reattach a bicep following an injury sustained in the recent home cup tie against Oldham.
“However, unfortunately it seems unlikely that we will see Lewis in action again for the Lions this season.
“Everyone at the club is naturally bitterly disappointed, and no doubt all our supporters will join us in extending our best wishes to Lewis for a speedy recovery.”
