Warrington Wolves picked up an impressive 24-8 victory over Catalans Dragons at the Stade Gilbert Brutus to hand the Dragons their first defeat of the season.

The Dragons took the lead after 11 minutes after a penalty from James Maloney.

Just before the half-hour, Maloney got a try after picking up a loose ball to score. He added the conversion to give the Dragons an eight-point lead.

Six minutes later, Warrington hit back as Daryl Clark broke free, and set Ben Currie over to score. Stefan Ratchford scored the conversion to bring them back within two points.

The visitors hit the front before half-time, after Toby King rose highest from a Gareth Widdop kick to score. Ratchford converted to make it a four-point lead.

Warrington got their third try two minutes into the second half after Jake Mamo made the interception and ran 90m to score. Ratchford added the conversion.

The next try came with just under 15 minutes to go, as Widdop added his name to the scoresheet after collecting a Ratchford kick to score. Ratchford added the conversion to stretch Warrington’s lead out to 16 points.
