Leigh Centurions Head Coach John Duffy has said he is looking forward to having a week off to get some more players back ahead of the return of fans.
Seeing as the Centurions were knocked out of the Challenge Cup by Huddersfield Giants, they will have a week off before welcoming fans back to Leigh Sports Village a week later against Wigan Warriors.
When asked about the break, he said: “It will certainly help our injured players to have another week without a game- it will give us a chance to get more players on the training paddock.
“We had more of a team in the stands than out on the pitch tonight. They are all working hard and putting the hours in to get back out onto the field.
“It will certainly help us having a break now.”
On the return of fans, he added: “I can’t wait. It has been a long time coming.
“I’m not sure what the capacity is, but hopefully we can get as close to capacity as possible, and it will be really good for our fans.”
