Warrington Wolves forward Robbie Mulhern has said he is excited ahead of playing in front of the fans for the first time on Monday.
The Wolves face Huddersfield Giants on Monday night, in their first game in front of fans at the Halliwell Jones Stadium since their 9-8 victory over Castleford Tigers in March last year.
Mulhern signed from Hull KR ahead of the 2021 season, so has yet to appear in front of fans, and he is looking forward to the occasion.
He said: “It’s been strange for all the players, having to play with no crowds. Every time I played for Hull KR against Warrington it was always a real hostile environment from a fans, they are all really loud and vocal. I am looking forward to being on the other end of that for a change.
“There may only be 4,000 fans, but with how the stadium is, it is very close to the pitch so it creates a lot of atmosphere, especially for big games.
“The sooner we get to full capacity, the better.”
