North Wales Crusaders have announced the signing of York City Knights centre Tyme Dow-Nikau for the rest of the 2021 season.
Nikau had signed for the club ahead of the 2020 season, but did not play for the club as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. He then signed for the Knights ahead of the 2021 season.
York have the option to call him back after two weeks.
Reacting to the news, he said: “It’s good to be back and hopefully I can add to what Muzza and the boys have already done this season.
“It’ll be good for me to get a run of games under my belt and help the club pick up some wins.
“I’ve still followed the club since I left so I saw about the move to Stadiwm ZipWorld and it’s a really exciting time.”
Crusaders Head Coach Anthony Murray added: “It was a real shame the pandemic meant we didn’t get to see Tyme in a Crusaders shirt so it’s great to have him back on board.
“Tyme has gained a lot of experience over in Australia and has been part of a very good York squad in the Championship during the off-season and start of the 2021 campaign.
“He’s a good person to have around the club and we know he’ll add a lot to us, particularly with some of the injuries we’ve picked up lately.”
