Catalans Dragons forward Joel Tomkins has been referred to the tribunal after being charged with punching.

Tomkins was sent to the sin bin during the Dragons’ 48-0 win over Wigan Warriors on Saturday. If found guilty, he is facing a ban of between three and five matches.

Warriors fullback Zak Hardaker has also been charged with the headbutt that saw him sent off in the same incident. He has been charged at Grade C and had been given a two-match penalty notice.

Also banned for two matches is Wakefield Trinity forward Matty Ashurst. He has been charged with a Dangerous Throw at Grade C.

Elsewhere, Castleford Tigers forward George Griffin, Leigh Centurions halfback Ben Reynolds and Huddersfield Giants forward James Gavet have all been handed a one-match penalty notice.

Griffin was charged with Dangerous Contact, Reynolds was charged with Tripping and Gavet was charged with Raising his knee in a tackle.

Finally, Tigers halfback Danny Richardson was handed a caution for Dangerous Contact.
