Salford Red Devils halfback Kevin Brown has announced he will be retiring at the end of the season.

The 36-year-old has been a professional for 18 years, after making his debut for Wigan Warriors in 2003. Since then, he has gone on to represent Huddersfield Giants, Widnes Vikings, Warrington Wolves and then Salford. He also made 10 appearances for England.

Brown will have surgery to correct an ankle injury, and still hopes to play some part for the Red Devils this season.
