Wakefield Trinity Head Coach Chris Chester rued his side’s slow start during their 38-18 defeat against Warrington Wolves.
Trinity were in the game for periods, but slow starts to both halves did the damage for Wakefield, bringing an end to their three-match winning run.
Chester was also disappointed with Wakefield’s execution.
He said: “Disappointed with the start. I thought that first 20 minutes, we looked like a team that just got off. They just spent three and three and a bit hours on a on a bus.
“But that’s certainly not being used as an excuse. I just our ruck control was really poor, I thought some of our contacts in the middle weren’t up to standard and once these guys get it quick, it’s very difficult to get it back again.
“Having said that, I thought going into halftime we’re fairly confident you know getting the thought we turn it around I thought we were getting some some some ascendancy through the ruck, but just didn’t execute as well as what Warrington did.”
