Hull KR Head Coach Tony Smith said he was pleased with the character shown by his side during their 18-8 win over Wigan Warriors.
It was a week where the Robins were hit by COVID disruption. A positive test within the playing group saw four players stood down in total.
They also had injuries to deal with, meaning they did not finalise their squad until this morning.
Smith praised the way his side handled themselves.
He said: “It was backs-to-the wall sort of stuff both on and off the field. It has been a tough week in terms of preparation. There was real character shown.
“I’m not sure how many teams have kept Wigan to nil here at half-time. I think they had about 38 tackles in our quarter, and we kept them out and went 23 straight on our own line.
“That takes character against a team that has many representative players.”
