Rochdale Hornets have moved above North Wales Crusaders in the League One table after a 38-28 win against them at the Crown Oil Arena.
Tries from Lewis Sheridan and Dan Nixon had the Hornets 10-0 up after just 11 minutes. Gav Rodden replied for North Wales, but Danny Yates and Luke Fowden managed to stretch Rochdale’s lead.
The Crusaders got themselves right back in it before the break, thanks to tries from Rob Massam and Connor Aspey.
However, a second from Yates and another for Fuifui Moimoi seemed to put the game safe for Rochdale.
North Wales were not done there, and got another try through Chris Barratt, but a second for Moimoi ended any resistance.
However, the Crusaders did end up getting another consolation through Massam, but they were beaten in the end.
