Salford Red Devils have donated new post protectors and tackle pads to community side Salford City Roosters after they were the victims of vandalism.

Shortly after an U16s match, the Roosters say someone broke into their equipment shed and set fire to it. It is the second time in two weeks this has happened.

But the Red Devils have stepped in to help their city neighbours, sending four post protectors and 12 tackle bags to the Roosters.

Community sides Latchford Albion and Hindley have also offered equipment to them.
