Sports events will be able to return to full capacity when the remaining coronavirus restrictions are lifted on 19th July.

It will be the first time since March 2020 that games will be allowed to go ahead without restrictions in place- when Castleford Tigers beat St Helens at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

Since the 17th May, fans have been allowed to return, but under restrictions. Crowds had to be socially distant, and face coverings were mandatory.

But, as part of the plans announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, that cap would be taken away, and grounds would be allowed to return to full capacity.

The move is set to be confirmed by a vote on 12th July.
