Oldham have announced the signings of Brad Jinks and Lloyd Roby ahead of the registration deadline.
Jinks has been playing for Oldham based side Waterhead Warriors after leaving the Castleford Tigers after the cancellation of the reserve grade. He has signed on trial terms.
Roby comes from Widnes Vikings, and has signed an initial two-week loan deal at Bower Fold.
Jinks said: “I’ve always considered myself a Waterhead lad but in fairness I did enjoy my four years at Cas and I feel sure I’ll enjoy my time at Oldham.
“I trained with Roughyeds last night, met Shez (Brendan Sheridan) and I’m really looking forward to showing them what I can do.”
Roby added: “It’s about three weeks since I’ve played, but I’ve been training regularly, I’m ready to go and I see my loan move to Oldham as a big opportunity to advance my career.
“I’m really looking forward to it and, as I say, I’m not bothered where I am asked to play in the backs. I’ll just have to see where my versatility takes me.”
