The nominees have been announced for this year’s Championship and League One awards, due to take place next Wednesday night.

As well as tonight’s nominations, another award for Club of the Year, and a new award, the OuRLeague Entertainer of the Year, will also be unveiled.

Nominees for Entertainer of the Year will be announced on Monday.

Starting in the Championship, two Featherstone Rovers players (Craig Hall and James Harrison), are nominated for Player of the Year. They will go up against Johnathan Ford of Toulouse, and Tom Gilmore of Batley Bulldogs.

The Young Player of the Year for that division has three nominees. Ebon Scurr for Bradford Bulls, while both relegated clubs are represented in the form of Tyler Dupree (Oldham) and Luis Roberts (Swinton).

Meanwhile, Coach of the Year sees this season’s surprise package Whitehaven represented, with Gary Charlton nominated. He will go up against Simon Grix of Halifax Panthers and Craig Lingard of Batley Bulldogs, who got both their sides into the playoffs.

Moving on to League One, champions Barrow Raiders have two players (Tee Ritson and Jamie Dallimore) nominated for Player of the Year. They will go up against Workington’s Jamie Doran, and North Wales’ Rob Massam.

Keighley Cougars have two players nominated for Young Player of the Year, in the shape of Charlie Graham and Phoenix Laulu-Togagae. Brad Holroyd of Workington Town completes the nominations.

Finally, Coach of the Year sees Workington boss Chirs Thorman, North Wales’ Anthony Murray and Covenry Bears Head Coach Richard Squires go up against each other for that honour.
