Barrow Raiders have announced forward Nathan Mossop has signed a new deal for the 2022 season.
Mossop played a key role as the Raiders were promoted as champions of League One to secure their place back in the Championship following their relegation in 2019.
He played in all 17 of Barrow’s matches in League One, scoring four tries.
Reacting to the news, Mossop said: “I was fortunate enough to be offered a new contract and I can’t thank the club and fans enough for their support over the years.
“As I move into my latter years, you take each year as a blessing and I’m forever grateful to be given the opportunity to do it all again next year in the Championship.
“The club is constantly improving both on and off the pitch, and the success the club had last year makes it a special place to be around. Steve’s (Neale) vision as chairman and Paul’s leadership as head coach is something that will attract the top players in wanting to play for Barrow.”
Head Coach Paul Crarey added: “We are delighted that Nathan Mossop has agreed to re-sign.‘Mossy’ has led by example throughout his career with us and epitomises the word professional.
“He often sets the standards for the rest of the group to follow and leads by example on and off the field.”
